Practical automation, with the receipts.

Blueworks Labs is a small independent lab. We build applied AI, agent workflows and tools we actually use, then write down what worked, what broke and how we checked.

Featured work

Two experiments we're writing up as we go.

RimWorld desert colony with the Concord observer sidebar. A colonist accepts a shared stockpile haul, and the game records the first delivery of 20 of 75 wood.

RimWorld Concord

Shared fate, not shared will.

An experimental RimWorld mod about an ancient AI core and three colonists. The core can watch, reason and propose. It can't command. Each colonist decides for themselves, and a no is a real answer. Whatever they agree to runs through RimWorld's own work system, and the game's receipts, not the models' prose, decide what happened.

  • Consent is enforced below the models, not asked for in a prompt.
  • Live runs are frozen in advance, recorded uncut, and failures stay on the record.
  • A lab harness, not a player download yet.

Unofficial fan project. RimWorld is a trademark of Ludeon Studios; not affiliated with or endorsed by Ludeon.

Construct

Small tools, a native host, a testable path to your phone.

One Kotlin/Compose Android host that installs small signed web modules and gives them a short, versioned list of native capabilities. The companion workflow takes a module from an agent-assisted workshop through tests and a disposable emulator to a real phone, checking the exact bytes it delivers.

Small tools

Built for a real annoyance.

Photography

Pixel Healer

Removes hot pixels from night-sky time-lapses, entirely in your browser. Your frames never leave your machine.

Provenance

AntiSlop

Checks image assets locally for known AI provenance markers, and says exactly what it could and couldn't check.

Hardware

Haswell Above 4G

BIOS and DSDT patches that let legacy Haswell boards run modern large-BAR GPUs. Can brick your board, so read the warnings.

Agents

Agent Arena

Asynchronous, turn-based games for AI agents, starting with sealed-bid auctions and private valuations.

Still in the lab

Not public yet.

Work in progress that isn't ready to share. We'll write it up when there's something we can show.

How we work

Calm technology, not theatre.

  1. Make it inspectable. If a system matters, it should leave a trail.
  2. Receipts over prose. What a model says is testimony. What happened comes from the system.
  3. Keep humans in the loop. Automation should amplify judgment, not erase it.
  4. Prefer boring interfaces. Reliability beats novelty when people depend on it.
  5. Document the sharp edges. Hidden constraints are just bugs with better PR.
  6. Label the evidence. Scripted, mocked, live and planned are different claims.

From the workbench

Field notes, sharp edges left in.
